EU cap still leaves room for savings
The maximum charge limits imposed on the mobile operators by the European Union came in just over a month ago. From July 1st 2014 the maximum you can be charged for roaming data is 20c per MB and 19c per minute for outbound mobile calls. My Google Alert hasn’t thrown out any notifications about the savings being made yet (note to self…) but there must be companies trading within the EU who are making considerable savings.
Certainly one of our clients is.
Even with the new roaming data cap, one of our clients had a senior member of staff away for two weeks in early July. In 13 days 6.17GB of data was used, meaning the cost from their normal mobile operator would have been over £1,040. Amiigo took another 25% off that cost.
