Not when you’re using Amiigo to save you money on them.

Zodiac Maritime was an early adopter of Amiigo. With staff all over the world and frequently in the middle of the ocean, they were eager to save money on their mobile calls.

They looked at many alternatives including using multiple local SIM cards and multi-country roaming SIM cards but they were considered both inconvenient and expensive.

The decision to deploy Amiigo was based on the ease of implementation and the savings they could make, particularly as 10% of their mobile calls are to satellite phones which typically cost over £6/minute.

Once deployed, Zodiac adopted an unconventional approach to engaging their staff and simply told them they would be charged for any expensive calls not made through Amiigo! When they are making savings of 66% on some calls, there is a real incentive to use Amiigo.

Amiigo is now a default app on all Zodiac BlackBerry smartphones and Zodiac Maritime are currently saving 54.3% on their international, roaming and satellite mobile calls.
